Conduct of Meetings
The council holds regular meetings throughout
the year, generally on the second Thursday of the month (January, March, May,
July, September, November.) Meetings are held at Great Bedwyn Memorial Hall and
start at 7.30pm. Between 7.00pm and 7.30pm, prior to the start of the
meeting, Councillors will be available for an informal discussion. The public
are also welcome to raise issues during the formal public discussion during the
meeting.
The agenda for each meeting is published three
clear days before the meeting on the Parish Council noticeboard in the Village
Square and can be downloaded, as can the minutes, here. The
Council’s Standing Orders are used to provide a structure for meetings. The public are reminded that their opportunity to address the council is during public recess only. There is no other legislation that allows members of the public to speak during a council meeting.
